We were seated quickly, the food is always excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual.
Food was pretty tasty. The young lady working the front desk/hostess station needs some serious training. When you come in and purchase 167 dollars worth of food on a Sunday afternoon.... She shouldn't tell me I owe an additional 7-8 dollars for BBQ sauce. Also ordered 60 bucks worth of catfish, and zero tartar sauce was included. Again, the food was good. But the service was not. I felt bad for the other servers because they could see I wasn't pleased but they were already slammed.
Great food and portions. Extremely casual and home cooking type of atmosphere. Service has always been good.

We stopped at the The Fishin' Pig for dinner while travelling through. The restaurant has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It seems like a great spot for groups of friends and families, with a welcoming vibe. Our server, KK, was very friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was good, with generous portions that definitely gave us the energy we needed for the rest of our drive. The pork steak was a standout for me--well cooked and full of flavor. I also really enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, which were crispy and satisfying. All in all, The Fishin' Pig is a good place for a laid back, hearty meal.
